With apologies for any cross-postings, list members may be interested to note that the Centre for Regional Economic and Social
Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University has recently been awarded two ESRC studentships. One will examine the effect of
changes in rural development policy on voluntary sector organisations (in particular the Rural Community Councils) and their
response to these changes. The collaborating bodies for this studentship are the two Rural Community Councils in the Yorkshire and
Humber region.
