Newcastle Science Festival 11-21 March 2005
Newcastle Science Festival is returning for its third year. The Festival
begins on 11 March and runs for ten days through to 21 March. With more
than 60 events, the 2005 festival is twice as big as last year’s and
promises to be the best yet! You will find Festival events in venues all
around the city including, among others, the Discovery Museum, Hancock
Museum, Segedunum Roman Fort, BALTIC, the Life Science Centre, The Sage
Gateshead, The Tyneside Cinema and the Live Theatre.
During the Festival there will be live shows and demonstrations from
popular scientists and TV personalities such as Simon Singh, Chris Packham
and Dr Bunhead- who will be performing his Filthiest Show on Earth! There
is a lively programme of debates, lectures, hands-on activities and
performances exploring the latest science issues for adults, families and
schools- so there is something for everybody!
