"Climate Change Begins at Home - Dave Reay"
NAKED SCIENCE / CAFÉ SCIENTIFIQUE CAMBRIDGE - 21ST NOVEMBER 2005
Welcome to the Autumn series of Naked Science in Borders Bookstore,
Cambridge.
This year Nature has unleashed her fury in tsunamis, hurricanes,
earthquakes and drought. The intensity of these events has in many cases
been attributed to climate change. If this is the case, what can we do
about it before we face further global catastrophes?
In his book 'Climate Change Begins at Home', Dave Reay, a researcher from
Edinburgh University, explains how making wiser choices about energy use in
the home can slash carbon dioxide emissions and make a potentially huge
difference to global warming.
Join Dave this Monday at 8pm in Borders Bookstore to find out how the
average person can make an enormous difference from the comfort of their
own home.
