June. Tickets for the semi-final where 12 will become 6 and the final where
6 will become 1 are available at www.cheltenhamfestivals.co.uk or by calling

FameLab is the national competition to discover the new public face of UK
science. The initiative is the brainchild of the Cheltenham Science
Festival in partnership with NESTA (The National Endowment for Science,
Technology and the Arts) and is supported by Pfizer, The Daily Telegraph and
Channel 4. Open auditions have been held at venues throughout the UK and of
the 300 plus entrants there are now just 12 finalists. Those taking part in
final will have 4 minutes to impress a judging panel including Professor of
Fertility Studies and BBC Presenter, Robert Winston and author, broadcaster
and NESTA Trustee, Simon Singh. The overall winner will appear as a guest
presenter on Channel 4, take part in events across the UK and receive £2,000
in prize money.
