And - as a physicist, get involved in Einstein Year! You could volunteer
to help on Lab in a Lorry (three lorries touring the UK with physics
experiments on board) www.labinalorry.org or you could download the
physics busking packs - 'Physics to go' from the Einstein Year site
www.einsteinyear.org (go to the 'get involved' bit) and turn up with
friends at a shopping mall or wherever and do physics.

To Hannah (and indeed anyone else just getting into Science
Communication), you could certainly do worse than consider becoming a
Science & Engineering Ambassador. This is a programme designed to
encourage more scientists & engineers (& anyone else who is interested)
to engage with schools & young people - a fine aim I hope we all agree.
Have a look at <https://www.seasinfo.org.uk> or alternatively contact
your local SETPOINT - details on <http://www.setnet.org.uk>. Setpoints
are information providers, deliverers of a wide variety of science &
technology activities and a point of contact for schools & businesses.
I might be biased, but I think it's a good idea!
Alison.
