Bad metaphor. It is entirely possible to criticise both sides. It just takes
time and even-handedness

Yes, maybe the word is the wrong word. It is your word; I just took off the
quotes.
Never mind. It is entirely possible to be a protester and a bully and I am
sure that the crowds we are speaking of are a mix with some who, as you
describe, are just there to bully; some who are genuinely protesting; and
many who are both. I am doubtful that either of *us can be sure from this
distance.
Intimidation is unpleasant, but is already established as a resistance
tactic; just as it is a well-known tactic of the freedom-loving forces
presently wrecking Iraq.
Obstruction seems entirely sensible as an act of resistance. It's the
violence I have a problem with; and both sides do that
It is those in power who have laid down what a protester may or may not do.
Tony Blair and George Bush both support the right of protest; and it is only
when people notice the protest that a policeman punches you in the face
Hizb-utTahrir are the same fuckpigs who used to heckle

I bow to your knowledge of them and their sexual preferences.
To lighten the tone, let me repeat from the NEWS QUIZ a reading from a
Cumbrian tourist brochure - that you are more likely to see sheep than other
walkers but all the walkers will have a satisfied look on their faces
Now, to return to hell on earth
I agree that one is not really resisting murder, larceny and hypocrisy if
one is trying to set oneself up as chief murderer, larcenist and hypocrite.
They are resisting the invaders who are also trying to set themselves up as
chief murderers, larcenists and hypocrites
I see no difference; and it is entirely possible to condemn both the
self-interested invasion and the self-interested resistance.
I condemn both the self-interested invasion and the self-interested
resistance... There you are; still standing
