Methinks I must have missed the rant, Stephen, but George Carlin
seems (after last night's HBO special) to be carrying the Bruce torch
pretty well into the New World Ordure.
Pres. Bush, btw, in his Brasil oration, seems to be offering a new plan
for dealing with poverty--matching grants! We'll give poor nations
a millions dollars for every ten they give us (US). There, that should
do it. Also, we'll help 'em if they'll stop growing drugs and grow
legitimate crops--as long as they don't try to sell them in the US,
thereby
undercutting our own cropping industries.
