I cannot explain this save to say I hear echos of King Lear all through
this piece. Indeed, the quintessential drama of youth and age in
political circumstances. Also "about" a few other things, of course.
Here "youth must serve age" and there is unfortunately nothing ironic
about it. Come to think of it...I'm due to reread Lear anyway. Last
time was1995. It was becoming scary at age 51. Ten years later?
