Background:
Hundreds of Poetry Books Stolen in Late Night Heist
A truck containing more than 200 copies of Adventures in Poetry Blogland,
the latest books from Kent Johnson, was stolen from outside a warehouse in
northern Boston on August 28, 2005. The truck was later found, with none of
the books. Police are searching the truck for forensic evidence. The books
are valued at $3,500. Police threatened to prosecute anyone who handles
Adventures in Poetry Blogland before its official release in late October.
The publisher of Johnson's books, BlazeVOX [books], estimates that over 500
copies have been sold in advance of the release.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE BOOKLETS GONE?
(from an overheard dialogue on New Poetry)
for Kent, in sympathy
My blog-bashing book is buyable.
No it's not -- it's been nicked!
Liar -- I'm laughing. You lifted the lot.
How do you hope, haughty heteronym,
to be believed? Bullshit.
Was so stolen, every single sausage.
Kid you not cobber -- a catastrophe.
Boy, you're bollixed -- buyers beware --
simply a scam to score subscriptions.
Phooey to you. I'm a father
(testimonials treat of that truth) --
that proves the proposition.
Circular saws from sycophants
Belie belief -- bugger off
Back to your basement.
Boy, is this a bummer.
My true talk trumped
By the wrack of my reputation
Off to sell sea shells soonest.
Please persons, pay for my pamphlets
When they're refound, released or ransomed.
QUOTH Kent the Cyber Laureate.
