Yup. He did it in this sonnet. (See my later post.) Though it's almost
certain that it was Nicholas Grimald who did the dirty work.
I suppose there's a vague case for the change to "Farewell, Love ... ", but
what he does to "They flee from me ... " is pretty horrific, and without
excuse.
Surrey fitted the model better, and so doesn't get messed around so much by
Tottel/Grimald.
