Hi Doug,
... belatedly, as I've been in Melbourne for many days ... sure, our
winters are fairly p**s-weak compared to yours but it does get cold in
its own fashion, as well, all the exotic and non-evergreen natives do
lose their leaves and then green diminishes somewhat (also, the drought
hasn't helped).
But, yeah, a few days in Melbourne weren't really that cold. The sun
shone too. No rain to speak of. Very odd.
