Completely at a tangent, Nyman's music for earlier, esp. Greenaway films, is
delicious. I especially recommend Cook/Thief/Wife/Lover, and Z00 (zed and
two noughts). Non film music, there's the amazing Think Slow Act Fast, apart
from various odd transcriptions from the movie scores: look out for
Alexander Balenescu. He's an arch-collaborator.
