Callander Poetry Weekend - Advance Information
Special guests: Sue Tordoff and Gerald England
The Poetry Weekend will be on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September, with a
welcome on the Friday evening for anyone who arrives then.
Location:
Kings Bookshop Callander, 91-93 Main Street, Callander.
Trains: Stirling (bus connection), Dunblane (you can be met by
arrangement).
Poetry readings will be in the garden if fine. Indoors if wet -
further arrangements also being made.
Special events:
On Saturday (approx lunchtime), Sue Tordoff will talk about George Mackay
Brown
On Sunday morning, Gerald England will give a talk about haiku.
There will be a haiku walk on Sunday morning, weather permitting.
A poetry exhibiton in a Callander hall.
This will have tables for poet/publishers to exhibit their publications and
visual material. Interest in the poetry weekend is growing in the area and
there would be a reasonable number of non-poet visitors.
