That -- class -- was a hell of a lot to do with it.
... but we did tend to wear long memories in Glasgow.
My grandfather blacklegged as a tram-driver in the 1926 strike, and my
mother was up the Hill with the kids, either blood or adopted, of Kirkwood,
Gallagher, Maxton, and McLean.
Frankly, it was bloody impossible to unpick politics from any area to do
with Glasgow.
Bit like New York, I imagine, not that I'd want to live there.
