O to wish that Public Opinion was at the root and reception of poets and
poetry making in this century! Or maybe all that stuff (poetry) is now on
the music charts, Top Ten, etc. Is or is not Public Opinion bought and held
in various corporate trusts?? Betray them and you get Swift Boat Veterans
out to drown your arse.
Like poets trying to form a Union at WalMart! Good luck.
I am much too jaded this afternoon! Frankly I suspect I would have a tough
time with real Public attention. Poetry, so often a shy art, an art for the
shy.
