For the scarlet-garlanded Joanna Boulter:
Reverse Palimpsest
a slash of poppies
from last night's dream
ignites my day
the scarlet explode
carries me again
to my dream mound
maidenhair curling
through thick moss
the exquisite jolts
blow my powdery life
neatly aside
every hollow stalk of fear
scattered
saturated
I am now earth
dug with wriggling benefactors
earth stippled with wet seeds
