There was the story about the fellow with Tourette's who was also a
tremendously good jazz drummer. The medication he took that suppressed
the Tourette's symptoms also suppressed his jazz-drumming-mojo. So he
took the pills during the week, and stopped taking them at weekends so
he could go on stage, swear a lot, and play drums to the fullest of
his abilities.
Personally I think poetry and swearing have more in common than poetry
and sex. Writing a good poem is like having a really good *curse*.
