This side of the Pond, we call baseball "rounders", and it's usually played
on a sandy beach in the middle of a Scottish summer.
On the other hand, ice shinty has possibly the highest death-rate of +any+
sport ever created -- cross American football with shinty (Irish rules),
soccer, rugby, girl's hockey, ice hockey, and crocket, and you're damn lucky
if even fifty percent of a team survives to the end of a match.
A singularly unforgiving game.
