Spring, today, has totally ripped San Francisco. Tulips booming and blooming
all over the place. The sidewalks full of cherry, plum and apple blossoms -
stript down by yesterday's intense showers.
I guess it's a kind of riot.
The only good political news in the paper today was that the United States
signed on to a United Nation's Commission on women's rights declaration -
after threatening not to because its representatives thought the document's
language would imply the US approved a woman's right to have an abortion!!
Apparently every other country on the Commission stood them down ("them"
being The Bush Christian Right). And the US caved.
May the victory be an omen!
Back to blossoms and heat!
