Hello to all
Australia has lost a wonderful poet. Shelton Lea died peacefully in his sleep at 4.30pm yesterday, Friday 13/5/05. His fantastic book of poems Nebuchadnezzar, his ninth collection, was launched by Black Pepper Press in Melbourne on May 5th. He encouraged the writing careers of many young Australian poets - his bookstore has long been a cherished meeting place.
I will miss Shelley immensely. Please think of us here in Melbourne as we gather this afternoon at the Dan O'Connell hotel, Fitzroy, to read poems of tribute.

these are the days
