Hi, Rebecca forwarded a "note" from my address thanking her for using
"my" soft-ware. The subject heading is scrambled and has nothing to
do with poetry or this list. This is not the result of a virus or a
worm in my machine, as my computer and the Gol system scans in-coming
and out-going e-mai; in addition I turn off my computer (I have an old
"dial-up" system) and the date and time of the e-mail was an "off"
day for my antiquated machine, which I use once or twice a week. A
spambot has apparently gotten my ahadada address and is using it for
some dark purpose. Please don't open any attachments, etc. on whatever
may turn up in your inbox that has a scrambled subject heading and the
Gol.com address, and please let me know if anyone else is getting these
things. Oh yes, I've accessed my web-mail account via my new machine,
which is absolutely free of internet crud, and that's how I'm sending
this note. I do get this list via digest, and I noticed in the last one
that Rebecca had posted what appears to be solid walls of numbers and
letters--under the heading of "snap" and a couple of others all of
which which might indicate some virus at work on this list. Thanks,
virus-free, Jesse
