Dear All

Both Shane Toohey and myself would like to send a big thank you to the
director Mr. David Wylie and senior podiatry tutor Mr. Douglas Forrest for
their efforts in making our 4-day podiatric Workshop held at the Great
Southern General Hospital, Goven Road, Glasgow (held last week) the great
success it was.
Once again, thank you.

As stated in another Jismail I have included the pre and post result of
the Truth table the participants have completed. Remember they have never
performed any of the mobilisation techniques before. The other thing to
remember is that only the feet have been treated.

What was looked at:
- how far the ear is behind vertical using a plum bob
- scapula distances. Here we measure the distances of the upper medial
poles (normal is 12cms) and the lower poles (the most medial inferior bony
place) should be 16cms.
cervical rotation in standing
- passive hip internal and external rotation in the supine position
- passive hamstring length
- passive dorsiflexion

C/RRT = cervical rotation to the right. C/RLT = cervical rotation left.
These are the figures supplied by the participants. In participant 5 the
passive dorsiflexion at 5Kg of pressure was listed at -5 and 0. When I
measured these, I found her feet to be plantar flexed at -20 degrees. The
reason is simple, they just push too hard. Having said this, one can see
that you whole person is controlled by the motion of the talus.
Some results were not recorded due to a misunderstanding.
