EPSRC funded Research Fellow is sought (to commence January 2006) in the field of discrete-event simulation. The project, to be supervised by Professor Stewart Robinson, involves the development of an automated system for simulation output analysis. The work requires close collaboration with Dr Mark Elder, CEO of SIMUL8 Corporation.
You should have relevant academic background with a strong element of statistics and should be able to use software tools for developing statistical algorithms. An MSc, and preferably a PhD, in Operational Research or a related field is required. If you do not have a PhD, then a demonstrable track record in research relevant to the project is essential.
