Scenario Thinking for Conflict Resolution
Graham Galer
(University of Kent)
Graham Galer now works part-time as a consultant and educator on strategic thinking in business. He worked for Shell for 36 years
in UK, USA, Australia and Italy, leaving as Head of Consultancy in Shell's Group Planning division in London. His particular
expertise lies in scenario planning and organisational learning, and in recent years he has advised on strategy development and
project management as well as continuing his work on scenario planning. He has also worked on management education programmes in
UK, South America, Australia, Israel, Italy and Sweden. He has been Chairman of the London Advisory Committee of Global Business
Network, a consulting group based in Berkeley,California. Graham has a degree in mathematics and economics from Cambridge
University and a Diploma in Education from Oxford University. He is also a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music. In 1997 he
completed an MA in International Conflict Analysis at the University of Kent at Canterbury (UK), and is now enrolled as a
part-time PhD student in this subject.
This talk follows the 42nd Annual General Meeting
of the Conflict Research Society which will be held at 2.00pm
