We have the same situation here. I have found that reviewing risk
assessments and examining the root causes of the accidents tends to work
wonders. As we are all aware PPE should be used as a last resort and we
need to ensure that we minimise the risk of injury by promoting safe
working practices. Examining types of cutting tools used and looking for
alternatives ie: retractable blades etc does make a difference also.
