I agree, rehabillitation should be based at an individual level and with a
supportive and clearly defined management structure reintegration should
not create too many problems. It needs to be sensitively managed.

Is it not a case of horses for courses? Surely it will depend on the
individual concerned and the nature and cause of their mental ill-health.
I can, however, envisage many reasons why maintaining a strong routine with
continuity of (good) management will help the person to feel secure and
able to re-integrate.

Does any one know of reasons or have any research of why an employee
should not work shifts, after they have returned to work and are
working full time but not on shifts after suffering with depression.
I have found that most patients have returned to their normal shift
patterns within a period of rehab. I have one lady who says she is
not able to do shifts because of her condition.
