Dear List,
Joasia Krysa is unable to join the discussion this month, but would
like to contribute this:
------
Dear Beryl –
The topic is close to my interests of course and I would love to
contribute but it just happens that I will be away for most of April
and very rarely with access to internet. But I found a nettime posting
from coco fusco that may be useful to include in some ways to the
discussion– polemical and clearly a reflection of the current state of
postgraduate teaching in UK and this largely applies to Curating
courses too. I am forwarding it to you in a separate posting. And –
although I realise this is more of a spontaneous discussion and not
academic essays - maybe pointing to some of the texts from the recent
EJHAE journal (
<http://www.ejhae.elia-artschools.org/Issue2/en.htm)>http://
www.ejhae.elia-artschools.org/Issue2/en.htm) could be useful -
especially Marion von Osten ‘ Such Views Miss the Decisive Point… The
Dilemma of Knowledge-Based Economy and its Opponents’ , Nick
Dyer-Witheford ‘Cognitive Capital and the Contested Campus’ and perhaps
interview with kuda by Trebor Scholz.
Hope this helps a little
Best wishes
joasia
