Curating, Immateriality, Systems
A conference on curating digital media
4 June 2005, Tate Modern, London
www.kurator.org
The conference investigates a range of positions currently occupied by
curators in the context of digital media and immaterial production.
While re-examining new conditions of cultural production that challenge
the traditional concept of curating, the conference asks:
How do curators make sense out of self-organising and self-replicating
systems, databases,
Programming net art, software art and generative media within the
general system of (im)material culture?
What are the new models of curatorial practice that take into account
the transformative nature of objects and processes and that are
collaborative, shared and distributed?
Tickets L 20 (L 15 concessions) will be available from January 1st 2005
