The following event may be of interest (organised by Robin Marshall in
Physics at Manchester -- all queries to him please at the address
below.)
Unfortunately, my sources give no information as to whether this is the
same Michael Roberts who's best known for stage and radio portrayals of
Groucho Marx. If so, he would appear to be in a position to epitomise
the twentieth century single-handedly...
Cheers
James

EVENT - "Einstein's First Lecture in Britain"
In 1905 Albert Einstein changed physics and the way we understand our
world. One hundred years on Einstein Year is celebrating the
excitement and diversity of physics today. A range of events and
activities will bring the fascination of physics to audiences of all
ages, throughout the UK during 2005.
As part of the celebrations for Einstein Year Prof Robin Marshall of
the School of Physics & Astronomy has organised an event in the
Whitworth Hall.
Title: Einstein's First Lecture in Britain.
Date: Monday 13 June 2005
Time: 5pm
Venue: The University of Manchester, Whitworth Hall
Einstein presented his first ever lecture in Britain in the Whitworth

became a world star overnight. This lecture will be re-enacted in
the Whitworth Hall. This time, the lecture will be in English and
Professor Einstein, played by actor Michael Roberts, will join the
audience after the lecture to answer questions.
