Dear Media Watch Friends,
BBC is one-sided about Ethiopia and doesn't give all
the
facts. Over 3000 people are held incommunicado in
prisons under risk of torture and disappearance. And I
just discovered that there is also a crackdown on the
media in Ethiopia (11 journalists are facing charges
according to www.journalism.co.za website).
This is my complaint to the BBC website about:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4655243.stm
COMMENTS: I would like to complain about the item:
Ethiopia 'right' to stop protests'. It's so one-sided!
Ethiopa holds over 3100 people in detention -
according to a recent ai's report - and that includes
human rights activists, writers, etc. They are being
mistreated and live under horrible conditions and
incommunicado.
There were also over 2000 students arrested on 6/7
June 2005, most of them are still being held and
mistreated! is the BBC so one-sided because President
Meles is member of Blair's Commission on Africa and
supporter of the war on terror ? Is that the reason
Meles can get away with murder? Check ai report on
