Dear all,
I wonder if people are aware of New Humanist magazine as a resource for those interested in media, communication and culture? It has recently appointed Caspar Melville as editor. Caspar did his PhD (on London club culture) in the Department of Media and Communications at Goldsmiths before working on OpenDemocracy for a number of years. The new issue of New Humanist, which came out last week, includes pieces by Paul Gilroy, Jonathan Ree, Jean Seaton, Stan Cohen and Solana Larsen (on The Exorcism of Emily Rose). Laurie Taylor is the Commissioning Editor and honorary associates include Stuart Hall and Linton Kwesi Johnson. The website is www.newhumanist.org.uk <http://www.newhumanist.org.uk/>
