Many of you will have noted that the AHRB is not funding MA studentships as extensively as in the past. In response, the School of American & Canadian Studies at the University of Nottingham has decided to offer a range of scholarships, fee waivers and bursaries intended particularly for MA and M.Res students in both American & Canadian Studies and Film & Television Studies. Students with a clearly focused research topic find the one year Master by research (MRes) attractive while others prefer the traditional MA route.
We are holding a School open day on Friday March 4, 2.00 till 4.30 p.m. and would like to invite suitable final year students to attend to discuss these scholarships and associated schemes. Details of the day together with a reply slip below.
Please could you circulate this information to appropriate final year students. If you have any queries, please contact either Peter Ling (AmCanS, tel 0115 951 4268) or Roberta Pearson (Film & TV Studies tel 0115 951 4250).
