Copyright Essentials: An MDA Training day

This hands-on practical one day training course provides an
introduction to the basic principles of copyright within the context
of working with collections. It also examines in detail how rights
can be cleared, tips for tracing rights holders and the management
and protection of rights within the context of digitisation projects.
By the end of the course participants will have:
* Encountered key copyright issues of relevance to the sector;
* Discussed crucial changes in copyright legislation;
* Considered the importance of good copyright practice;
* Discussed the management of rights using MDA's SPECTRUM standard
* Assessed their own procedures and practices against good practice;
* Discussed their own requirements and concerns with the trainer
* Shared experience with other participants;
* Considered further resources to use after the workshop;
* Been provided with MDA support materials;
* Experienced hands-on practical all day training at a highly
