TOURISM REVIEW INTERNATIONL, 8(4) Regular Issue
Tourism Review International is a peer-reviewed journal that advances
excellence in tourism research, promotes high-level tourism knowledge,
and nourishes cultural awareness in all sectors of the tourism industry
by integrating industry and academic perspectives. Its international
and interdisciplinary nature ensures that the needs of those interested
in tourism are served by documenting industry practices, discussing
tourism management and planning issues, providing a forum for primary
research and critical examinations of previous research, and by
chronicling changing tourism patterns and trends at the local, regional
and global scale.
The journal publishes both regular issues, and special issues that focus
on a wide-variety of topics, including: Japanese tourism, culinary
tourism, sports tourism, travelers with specialized needs, and female
travelers. On behalf myself, Dr. David Harrison (TRI Book Review
Editor) and Dr. Stefan G*ssling (TRI Book Review Editor), it was a
privilege to work with all the authors and book review contributors (see
below for listing).
Abstracts for TRI can be viewed at
http://www.cognizantcommunication.com/. This issue will be available for
download shortly from Ingenta
(http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/cog/tri). TRI is now accepting
general manuscript submissions for 9(4) by email. If you have any
inquiries relating to the journal please direct them to my new address
at the University of South Carolina, USA.
Sincerely,
Dr. Laura Jane Lawton, Editor-in-Chief
