is that what is actually worked or does 37 hours include paid tea
breaks?

AA route planner gives it as 56.3 miles by that account so is Brighton &
I'm practically Manchester !
Having started my career in London I know the arguements about London
weighting but have never understood why in local government they work a
35
hour week whereas the rest of us do 37 hours

Just for clarity: I meant we don't get weighting either, despite being
practically London.

Count yourself lucky you don't live in Cambridge then - the house prices
are
next highest to London, and we don't get any weighting at all!

Only 6 times! In Oxford it's 9. And we don't get nearly London
weighting.

Tony,
But of course! And a whopping payrise in April of 10p an hour!
Pathetic
really isn't it. And to add to the debate about pay, it isn't just in
London that staff are not paid a living wage. The average house here in
Dorset costs 6 times the average salary for the area. Only myself, as
head
of service, is paid above that average.
