Abstract
A knowledge and information skills toolkit (KIST) is available on the
NELH website to help NHS staff improve their skills in finding,
producing and using information, and promoting organisations which value
knowledge generation and management.
KIST, a web enabled diagnostic tool, which has been licensed for use
across the NHS, allows the user to compare their current skills against
a number of profiles developed for roles of differing scope and
seniority. The areas covered are:
* Personal attributes
* Leadership skills
* Business and people management skills
* Knowledge specific skills
* Information specific skills
* Information communication technology skills
