Morning all
I've just made an interesting discovery while doing Cochrane at a training
session. Please ignore this if you already knew.
If you enter a search term with an initial capital letter (I never do this,
but some people I'm training seem to) it only finds results where the term
with a capital letter appears in the record (eg at the beginning of a
title).
Thus if you search for diabetes (in the title) you get 4096 results (and 41
reviews). But if you search for Diabetes you get only 355 (and no reviews).
Entering in lower-case picks up all the results.
Another odd thing: I've always ignored apostrophes (as in parkinson's
disease), but you have to include it on Cochrane or you get virtually
nothing.
