Dear All,
Does any one have any thoughts on this. It seems to be practice among some
tutors to ask their students to submit a copy of every single article cited
along with their assignment. Actually we hadn't seen so much of that for a
few months now, but this morning we have seen a new variant. A reader wanted
to find an electronic copy of an article to print off (No free versions) She
was willing to pay for it. We have the journal in question in hard copy but
she has apparently been told that photocopies are not acceptable and the
articles must be printed. I asked her what would happen if there just was no
electronic version in existence - they can submit the assignment saying this
one is not available. The whole thing is submitted in print not
electronically.
I cannot see any logic in this, but am sure I must be missing something
important. Perhaps colleagues from universities can shed some light.
