We are looking for a permanent Assistant Librarian to work at the Education Centre Library based at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport serving all of the NHS community in the Stockport area. The primary responsibility for this post will be electronic resources but will involve the successful applicant in many other aspects of library work.

Salary * A&C Grade 5 (£17,161 - £20,876)
Hours * Full time 37.5 hours (including two evenings until 6pm)
The Education Centre Library based at Stepping Hill Hospital provides multi-disciplinary library services to the Stockport NHS community and students on placement from a number of higher education institutions.
We seek a highly motivated individual to work as a member of the Library team. This post has specific responsibility for electronic resources within the Library context, you will also actively promote the ethos of customer focused service within the library by helping users with their enquiries, user education and training needs. Other duties will include liaison, I.T. trouble shooting and general library work. You will need to be educated to degree level with a library/information qualification.
Candidates with suitable computing qualifications and some library experience will be considered. Preferably you will have experience of working in a higher education or health library.
