The NHS Service Delivery and Organisation (SDO) Research and Development
Programme is a national R & D programme that has been established to
consolidate and develop the evidence base on the organisation, management
and delivery of health care services.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS ON EVALUATING MODELS OF HEALTH SERVICES DELIVERY
AND STUDYING HEALTH CARE ORGANISATIONS
The SDO Programme is continuing to commission work within the research
programmes below and is inviting proposals on the following topics:
EVALUATING MODELS OF HEALTH SERVICES DELIVERY
Ref: AP121 'Evaluation of the national infarct angioplasty project pilots.'
Funding of up to £250,000 is available for this project which should take no
longer than 2 years to complete and start in December 2005.
Applicants are asked to submit outline proposals for the above call by
Thursday 28th April 2005 at 1.00pm, quoting ref AP121.
e-Health
Ref: EH93 'Harnessing the internet as an effective health information tool
to empower patients, carers and members of the general public.' Funding of
up to £300,000 is available for this project which should take no longer
than 3 years to complete and start in December 2005.
Ref: EH94 'The attitudes of health care professionals to e-Health
technologies and services, and the identification of strategies to support
increased uptake.' Funding of up to £300,000 is available for this project
which should take no longer than 3 years to complete and start in December
2005.
Ref: EH95 'A study of the use of e-Health solutions in the management and
treatment of disease and in facilitating change in the organisation and
delivery of services.' Funding of up to £300,000 is available for this
project which should take no longer than 3 years to complete and start in
December 2005.
Applicants are asked to submit outline proposals for the above calls by
Wednesday 20th April 2005 at 1.00pm, quoting ref EH and the appropriate
reference number.
STUDYING HEALTH CARE ORGANISATIONS
Ref: OP110 'The impact of governance and incentive arrangements on the
performance of professionals, health care organisations and health systems.'
Up to 8 projects may be funded and a maximum of £300,000 is available for
each project which should take up to a maximum of 3 years to complete and
start in December 2005.
Applicants are asked to submit outline proposals for the above call by
Wednesday 13th April 2005 at 1.00pm, quoting ref OP110.
