HOW TO BID FOR FUNDS
20 April 2005, London
Many library and information services are learning to look beyond the resources of their own organisations for funding. This highly practical workshop will focus on applying techniques used in fundraising to help you make successful bids.
By the end of the event participants will have:
* examined the types of questions asked by funders
* looked at examples of applications that fail
* practiced structuring letters of application
* started drafting an application for their own organisation
SPECIAL NOTES
Participants will be expected to have already identified at least one potential funder and attend the workshop prepared with an application form and guidelines, their most recent Annual Report and accounts budget for their library or information service and a business strategy.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This workshop is for past participants of CILIP's introductory Fundraising for librarians workshop, or anyone with experience of fundraising strategy or fundraising research.
WORKSHOP LEADER: KATHY RODDY
Kathy is a qualified librarian and information manager with over seven years' experience of both research and fundraising within the voluntary sector.
