Hello, everyone
I wondered if colleagues around the UK and beyond could draw
on their local knowledge and networks to help me with a
social care enquiry.
I'm attempting to identify examples of activities used as
part of day services to rural elderly. The target
population is frail and living at home. Age range will
likely be 80+. Activities might be social, leisure,
recreational, educational or anything else intended to
overcome isolation and keep individuals active, interested
and engaged.
A literature search using the obvious tools has been
conducted.
I'm now hoping that you can help me to augment this
by pointing me in the direction of any local projects,
practices or initiatives of which you may be aware. These
might be quite smallscale initiatives that - although
unpublicised - are nevertheless beneficial.
Would be very grateful for any clues/tips/leads/info that
you can send. Please reply off-list and, if there is
interest, I can summarise for all.
Many thanks for your help.
