Librarian (Legal)

Circa £ 21,590 (Subject to evaluation and review)

The Central Legal Office (CLO) provides comprehensive legal services to
Health Boards in Scotland covering all aspects of litigation and employment
law, property transactions and commercial contracts.

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-motivated and
highly organised professional to join our team.

In this stand-alone role, you will manage the CLO library and information
databases and deliver an up to date and accessible information service for
all users, undertaking research and information retrieval on legal queries.

You must be able to work in a customer-focused environment and should have
first class organisational and communication skills.  Research, analytical
and problem solving skills are also critical to the success of the role.

You should, ideally, possess a degree or equivalent qualification with a
legal component and preferably have legal experience.  Experience of library
work or managing information systems is essential and a knowledge of the NHS
in Scotland gained through work experience would be a distinct advantage.

The post is based in an impressive new office environment in Leith with
excellent local facilities. The office is across the road from a leisure
