Hi all
I am sure I am showing my ignorance but can some kind and knowledgeable soul, please direct me towards a (freely accessible, not subscription-based) database / website for Command Papers? Is there a simple way of searching by either a command paper number or indeed to browse / keep aware of what is being issued, maybe under a subject category?
I have looked at the Parliamentary Publications Database and am no wiser. If there is a shortcut or a clever way of unearthing that info, I haven't discovered it yet.
Also, a lot of the papers, including consultation documents which used to get Cmnd numbers now seem to be issued as e-documents, in separate chapters / formats etc and don't seem to carry the number anymore. In fact, we'd be lucky to find a publication date on them! Is there some logical way in which the numbers are assigned?
Many thanks for your help.
