We have now confirmed the third speaker and our panel will be as follows:
Speakers
Emma Webb, Information Commissioner's Office, will explain what FOI is, how it is likely to be implemented and how it could be applied in different fields.
Sandy Chalmers, Director of Data Privacy Policy at GlaxoSmithKline will give a corporate view on how the Act will impact the pharmaceutical industry, but with parallels for other commercial organisations.
Mags Griffin, Information Law Team, Revenue and Customs, will speak about how a government department has been prepared for FOI, what issues/problems have been faced and how they have been resolved.
Chair
Olivia Freeman, freelance information consultant and trainer, will lead a discussion on the implications of the Act for vendors, recruitment consultants and information professionals in the private sector.
