The UK eInformation Group continue their competitively priced and varied
events programme for eInformation users for 2005.
At the recent session in Manchester on Developing and managing e-book
collections, comments included:-
[I found] "the whole day very enjoyable and extremely useful"
And
"I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting on Wednesday ... All in all it was well
worth coming over" [from Germany]
There is still plenty to look forward to this year, across England and
Northern Ireland including :-
Searching the Internet: Google and Beyond (14th April, Belfast), Finding
Pharmaceutical Information (27th April, London), Moving into Europe? (11th
May, Birmingham) Statistics Minus the Lies and Damned Lies (7th June,
London) and Taxonomy for the Terrified (7th July, London)
Meanwhile, on 21st June a meeting is planned which will include
presentations by speakers on the future direction of e-information and will
also incorporate the UKeIG Annual General Meeting. During the day there
will be a series of presentations reflecting on challenges facing the e-
information community.
Further meetings are planned for the rest of 2005. These include: Intranet -
Meet your Colleagues; Recent Developments in the Law; Information
Architecture; Journal Subscriptions: Agents and Aggregators.
