Professional Development for Law Librarians (BIALL / CLIG joint event) Tues 15th February 2005, 4-7pm
BIALL and CLIG are jointly hosting a seminar looking at careers issues from the point of view of people who have been in the profession for a few years. Francis Muzzu from Instant Library Recruitment will look at how to present a CV when applying for more senior jobs and offer tips for job applications and interviews. Lesley Robinson (Lesley Robinson Consultancy Services Ltd) and Jacky Berry (TFPL) will then look at how information professionals can enhance their career prospects through further qualifications such as the MBA and law degrees.
This seminar is relevant across the spectrum of law library jobs - law firm, academic and professional associations and indeed, may be of interest to those working outside law libraries. There will be an opportunity to network, with refreshments after the event.
This seminar is open to all and costs £20 for members of BIALL or CLIG / £30 for non-members.
Full details are available on the CLIG and BIALL websites: www.clig.org / www.biall.org.uk
