We are looking for someone to work as part of our Library and Information Services team, helping support the information needs of College staff and members along with those of our Institutional Member libraries.
The post holder will have particular responsibilities within our document delivery and inter-library loan services and in the day-to-day administration of printed and electronic serials. You will also assist in areas such as acquisitions and collection management, and carry out regular enquiry desk duties. The post provides a range of activities and experience suitable for potential library school applicants and, although we do not offer a formal scheme such as a graduate trainee programme, all staff have access to internal/external career development opportunities.
You will have been educated to at least GCSE level standard (or equivalent), and have good all-round IT skills, including a familiarity with standard Microsoft Office applications. You should be enthusiastic and articulate, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to work as part of a small multi-professional team, often on your own initiative and to multiple deadlines, and to provide a friendly, customer-focused service.
