Apologies for cross posting.
The School of Business Information at Liverpool John Moores University has recently sent questionnaires to heads of service / named individuals in a sample of archives, libraries and museums throughout the United Kingdom as part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funded 'Safeguarding heritage at risk' project. The project is researching disaster management in the cultural heritage sector. If you receive a questionnaire we would be most grateful if you, or a colleague with responsibility for disaster management, would complete it and return it to us by 15th July 2005. All responses will be treated in confidence.
We realise that there are many demands on your time but believe the results of this research (including practical guidance and information, checklists, case studies, targeted briefing papers, information/advice sheets and bibliography) will be of considerable use to practitioners and policy makers across the sector. The findings will be widely disseminated and made available to respondents. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation. Our thanks to those of you who have already replied.
The AHRC funds postgraduate training and research in the arts and humanities, from archaeology and English literature to dance. The quality and range of research supported not only provides social and cultural benefits but also contributes to the economic success of the UK.
