NHS LIAISON & FACULTY LIBRARIAN (MEDICAL & HUMAN SCIENCES)

Starting salary from circa £37,500 per annum
Applications are invited for the post of NHS Liaison & Faculty Librarian
(Medical & Human Sciences). The successful applicant will be responsible
for liaison with the NHS North West Health Care Libraries Unit (NW HCLU)
and for negotiating the provision of appropriate library services to the
NHS and by the NHS on behalf of the University Library. The appointee
will also ensure that the Library service provides appropriate information
resources and academic support of the highest quality to all students,
teachers and researchers in the Faculty of Medical & Human Sciences and
any relevant research institutes/centres of excellence. S/he will,
additionally, be a member of the Library’s Senior Management Group.
Applicants should possess an honours degree in an academic subject, or
equivalent qualification, or appropriate relevant experience. Experience
of the provision of Library and information services to NHS personnel will
be an additional recommendation.
